February 2026 Prayer Letter

February 3, 2026

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Romans 8:28

Dear Family and Friends,

I am so encouraged and thankful when I witness how the Lord continues to provide for me and to bless this work. He has opened up new and exciting opportunities for this ministry to grow and flourish. My colleagues and I are amazed by the number of new pastors and elders called to serve their fellow indigenous kinsmen by sharing God’s Word. Thank you Lord for igniting the fire in their hearts to learn more about the Bible and spread your GOOD NEWS!

Here’s a glimpse of what’s new in the jungles of Peru.
In the last newsletter I asked for prayer concerning a serious problem. At this time I want to explain what the situation involved. The ministry owns a boat which enables us to travel the Amazon River to reach the villages of indigenous peoples on the smaller tributaries of the Amazon. Sadly, the drive shaft was stolen from the boat’s outboard motor. We are very thankful for your prayers, and it was possible to purchase a new drive shaft from the U.S. We would be grateful for further prayers to have the new part arrive in time to power the boat for our first of four river trips.

From February through August 2026 our mission travels will entail visits to villages along the Rivers Pastaza, River Morãna, River Sillay (new for us), River Marañon which is a key Amazon tributary. These visits help us maintain an important connection to the people who attended our annual Conference Program in the past. The visits are also a vital part of the mission program enabling us to teach and share God’s Word while renewing old friendships. PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW! BECAUSE, we will be able to accomplish this in a boat with a working motor!!

I want to share news about my longtime ministry partner, Julio Céasar. He has been my brother-in-Christ and God-given blessing to my missionary journey in Peru. He was recently faced with the difficult decision of stepping down from our ministry in order to care for his daughter, Sarai who was diagnosed with Lupus a few years ago. I am saddened to tell you that Sarai passed into glory on January 7, 2026.

I would gratefully appreciate your prayers for Julio, his wife Eldermira and their other children. I am sad for my dear friend and pray that he may be able to rejoin the Avivamiento Amazonica ministry at a future time.

I am daily thankful and blessed for the way our loving and gracious God has grown and guided the ministry in towns, river villages and jungles of Peru. As I look ahead to the future, I am made aware of the urgent need for a permanent Peruvian co-worker to share responsibilities of this important work. Will you please pray with me that our ever faithful God already knows the heart of this person and will send them to be my brother and helper.

But be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
2 Timothy 4:5

Prayers for 2026:

*God would be glorified in EVERY aspect of Avivamiento Amazonica’s work
*Financial help to enable the purchase of more vehicles for both river and ground transpiration. A motor cycle and a Fugon (see picture below)
*Financial help to adequately cover the increasing number of people who will attend the Annual Fall Conference 2026, so that many more people will learn God’s powerful and life changing message of salvation
*Financial help to enable “The Iquitos Mission Compound” which would serve for training classes, an annual conference which would include sleeping accommodations, as well as my living space.
My heart-felt thanks for helping me further God’s work in Peru.
Thank you for your prayers of support
Thank you for your generosity
Thank your for touching so many lost lives.

With Love,
Your brother in Christ
