May 2023 Prayer Letter

May 1, 2023

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
                               1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

My dear brothers and sisters,

I would like to thank you for your many prayers, fellowship and meals during my recent and sadly, too short visit to the states. I praise the Lord for your love and concern for me! I was able to follow up with many supporters of the ministry and made some new contacts.
Please pray for a safe (uneventful) flight back to Peru, Tuesday May 2. Continue to pray over the planning for the next Leadership Conference in the fall of 2023.

Quick update on the water tower project: Unfortunately the tower structure rotted out and the water tank was damaged! The pump itself is still working and the people are pumping water into buckets. Corinthians 9:8: And God will generously provide all you need. Yes! and Amen! We have received funding to replace the water tower. Upon my arrival in Peru, the construction will begin and should be accomplished by the end of May.

Good News from Ed La Guardia who is the contact for the audio bibles. Four of the languages have already been converted into audio format. The next action is to work with Jaime (who manages a translation organization) and other resources to see if we can obtain the other indigenous languages. Then, we will convert to audible format and load the units for distribution by Cliff. During a conversation with Jaime in Peru we discussed his interest in our partnering with him to share Calvary Chapel, Chuck Smith’s Bible teaching commentaries, recordings and other indigenous dialects.

Pray for the power of the Spirit, through the Word, in all the world, wherever it is being read or heard.
